A hunt has been launched for a man who flashed his private parts in Inverness city centre.

Police are investigating the complaint of indecent behaviour and wish to trace two women who were seen speaking to the suspect.

The incident took place at around 11.45am on Tuesday in the area of the Archie Cafe on the ground floor of the Eastgate Centre.

Police said the man, who is in his 60s or 70s, is described as slim, of average height, and has straggly grey hair. He was wearing a green military-style jacket with stripes on the arm.

Constable Jim Boundy said: "Incidents such as this are very rare in Inverness and I would reassure people that we are taking this extremely seriously.

"The area was busy at the time and we would like to speak to anyone who recognises this man or believes they may have seen him.

"We are particularly keen to speak to two older women who interacted with the man in the Archie Cafe."
