Two men and three boys have been charged after seats were vandalised in a football stadium.

Police made the arrests following disorder at the Challenge Cup final between Ross County and Connah's Quay Nomads at Caledonian Stadium on Saturday, March 23.

The men, both aged 18, and the boys, one aged 15 and two aged 16, will be reported to the procurator fiscal and children's reporter as appropriate.

Police are continuing enquiries to trace others who were identified in the post-match investigation.

Following the incident, Ross County and Inverness Caledonian Thistle put out a statement telling disruptive fans that "enough is enough".

It read: "The clubs have had enough of this behaviour and have agreed to work together to highlight and eradicate this unacceptable behaviour from both grounds.

"Both RCFC and ICTFC are proud of the reputation they have developed in Scottish football over many years and the community ethos and match day experience is at the centre of their approach.

"As both clubs have worked hard and have earned a deserved positive profile in Scottish football, neither is prepared to be undermined by a small minority of troublemakers who simply will not be tolerated."
