Driver dies after becoming trapped under van during repair

A man has died after becoming trapped underneath his van as he tried to fix it.
The 44-year-old, named by police as Marko Srsen, was on his way home from work when it is thought he discovered something wrong with his blue Ford Ranger.
He stopped in a lay-by on the A835 Ullapool to Tore road and was under the van when it rolled over him.
Fire crews had to use air bags to free Mr Srsen, who was originally from Croatia, from underneath the front of the vehicle at 6.25pm on Tuesday.
He was pronounced dead on the scene and the road was closed for three and a half hours as an investigation got under way.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We assisted at the scene but there wasn't anything that we could do to change what had happened.
"We used air bags to lift the vehicle as the driver was trapped but that is all we can say."
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the crash and want to speak to anyone who saw the car parked in a lay-by on the A835 between roundabout and Tore.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
