Death of man pulled from River Don is unexplained, say police
Emergency crews were called to Aberdeen's Bridge of Don on Sunday.
The death of a man whose body was pulled from the River Don is being treated as unexplained by police.
Paramedics, coastguard and lifeboat crews were called to the Bridge of Don in Aberdeen at around 9am on Saturday.
The RNLI retrieved the body of the man, who was in his 60s, from the water.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "We were alerted to the incident at around 9am on Saturday.
"Enquiries into the death of the man, who was in his 60s, are ongoing. His death is being treated as unexplained."
A spokesman for the Aberdeen RNLI added: "The inshore lifeboat searched the area around the River Don while another lifeboat stood by.
"The inshore lifeboat retrieved the body from the river, which was handed to Police Scotland at Aberdeen Harbour."
