Kayaker found dead after disappearing on river during Storm Frank
Emergency services were called to the River Findhorn in Moray on Wednesday afternoon.
The body of a kayaker who went missing as Storm Frank battered Scotland has been recovered from a river.
Emergency services were called to the River Findhorn in Moray shortly after 12.30pm on Wednesday.
He got into difficulties on the water due to severe weather conditions including torrential rain and heavy wind.
Police Scotland confirmed that the body of the man, who was in his 50s, was recovered from the river at around 9am on Thursday.
The kayaker has not yet been named by police. His family have been told.
