A camper who went missing during severe flooding in Aberdeen several days ago has been found alive and well.

Terence Kilbride, 48, had been camping in the Bridge of Dee area and the alarm was raised after several of his belongings were discovered among the debris of the flooding.

Mr Kilbride, from the Warrington area of England, is well-known for his outdoor pursuits and it was feared he had fallen victim to extreme weather conditions after he failed to contact friends or family for several days.

Police Scotland said: "We can confirm that Terence Kilbride, 48, has been traced safe and well in Aberdeen. The public are thanked for their assistance in tracing him. We received an overwhelming response from the public, which was greatly appreciated."
