A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a lorry on the A90.

The road was shut for a short time following the collision between Peterhead and Boddam at 12pm on Tuesday.

The woman, who was driving the car, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with non-life-threatening injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "The road reopened at around 12.50pm after the collision, which happened just before 12pm.

"A woman has been taken to ARI and her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening."
