A man has appeared in court for the second time charged with the murder of a woman at an Aberdeen flat.

The body of 37-year-old Jessica McGraa was discovered at an address on Union Terrace on February 12.

Bala Chinda appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday and made no plea to charges of murder and theft. The 25-year-old was remanded in custody.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw Ms McGraa in the days before her death to contact them.

Detective superintendent David McLaren added: "I am appealing for anyone who was in Jessica's company or who spoke to her on Tuesday 9, Wednesday 10, Thursday 11 or Friday 12 to come forward as a matter of urgency."
