A man who went missing on Tuesday has been found safe and well.

Concerns were raised over the safety of Jamie Alexander, also known as James McKenzie, as temperatures dropped this week.

Police launched a search and on Thursday afternoon a spokeswoman said the 22-year-old had been found safe and well in the Dundee area. He had last been seen at a guest house on the High Street in Banchory, Aberdeenshire, at around 9.30pm on Tuesday.

The public were thanked for their assistance in tracing Mr Alexander.
