Teenage cyclist killed in collision with car on Moray road
The collision happened on the B9010 Forres to Kellas Road at around 11am on Sunday.
A 16-year-old cyclist has died following a crash on a Moray road.
Emergency services were called to the B9010 Forres to Kellas Road at around 11am on Sunday, following a collision between a mountain bike and a white Volkswagen Golf car.
The boy died at the scene and police said his family had been informed.
Road closures have been put in place at either end of the road while crash scene investigators examine the area.
A police spokesman said: “[We] can confirm that a male 16 year old cyclist has died following a collision on the B9010 Dallas to Kellas road just after 11am.
“The collision involved the cyclist and no one in the Golf was injured and the cyclist died at the scene.
“The he road is anticipated to re-open shortly.
“Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101.”
