Power cuts hit hundreds of city centre shops and homes
About 270 properties in the Union Street area of Aberdeen lost power at 9.30am on Thursday.
Hundreds of shops and homes in Aberdeen city centre have been hit by power cuts.
Around 270 properties in the Union Street area lost power at 9.30am on Thursday because of an unknown fault.
A number of shops were temporarily forced to shut but power was restored by 10.45am.
A spokesman for energy firm SSE said: "Power has been restored to all affected properties."
