A care home worker has appeared in court charged with assaulting two pensioners.

Aneta Fortuniak allegedly attacked the residents of Spynie Care Home in Elgin when she worked there in 2015.

Fortuniak is said to have seized 83-year-old Aileen Marshall by the wrists, roughly manhandled her and dragged her across a bed.

It is also alleged she also put her hand across Ms Marshall's mouth to stop her shouting and otherwise injured the pensioner.

Fortuniak is further accused of assaulting 90-year-old resident Robert Scott on the same day last August by slapping him in the face

The 43-year-old from Elgin denies both offences and is due to go on trial in May at the town's sheriff court.
