A woman has been taken to hospital following a one-vehicle crash in Aberdeenshire.

Two ambulances were sent to the incident on the B999 a mile north of Pitmedden after it was reported at around 2.40pm.

Fire crews from Ellon and Inverurie also attended and cut one casualty from the vehicle.

A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said staff checked over multiple casualties at the scene.

The woman has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
