Drivers are being warned to expect delays during rush hour on a main artery into Aberdeen after a crash on Wednesday morning.

The driver of a vehicle that smashed into a pedestrian barrier on Great Northern Road at 7.30am was uninjured in the crash.

Police have closed two lanes, one on each direction, while the vehicle and the pedestrian barrier are cleared and drivers will be restricted to one lane.

A police spokeswoman said: "The road is down to one lane in both directions close to the Don Street junction.

"Drivers should be prepared for delays this morning."
