A haul of cannabis with a street value of £68,000 has been seized by police in Moray.

Officers stopped a vehicle on the A95 at Marypark on Tuesday and recovered the stash of resin.

Two men aged 23 and 34 have been charged and are expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Thursday.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Cannabis with a street value of £68,000 has been recovered as a result of an intelligence-led operation on Tuesday.

"Police in Moray stopped a vehicle on the A95 at Marypark and recovered cannabis resin.

"Two men aged 34 and 23 have been charged in connection with the recovery and are anticipated to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Thursday."
