A man has died after being crushed by a wall while working on a dairy farm, STV News understands.

The 58-year-old was killed at Newseat of Dumbreck in Udny, Ellon, at 5.15pm on Wednesday.

Police Scotland and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating the incident.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "We received a report of a man being injured following an incident within a dairy farm in Udny at around 5.15pm on Wednesday, May 18.

"Police attended along with other emergency services and sadly the man, aged 58, died.

"The next of kin of the man who died have been informed as have the Health and Safety Executive."
