Drugs with an estimated street value of £17,000 have been recovered after a police raid in Aberdeenshire.

The haul of heroin and crack cocaine was found after the operation on Tuesday in Fraserburgh.

A police spokeswoman said there had not been any arrests made as a result of the fine but enquiries were ongoing.

Detective constable Richard Cooper from Fraserburgh CID said: ''Police Scotland continue to target those who wish to involve themselves in drug activity and organised crime in the north east of Scotland area and will continue to make towns such as Fraserburgh a hostile place to deal drugs.

"I would like to thank the public for their continued assistance and urge anyone with information relating to drug dealing and drug related activity to contact Police Scotland."
