A fisherman whose body was found on the banks of an Orkney loch has been named as the search for his brother continues.

Andrew Livingstone, 71, was found dead on the shore of the Loch of Boardhouse on Wednesday evening.

Mr Livingstone's family have been informed, police said.

Emergency services continue to search for a second man who had gone fishing with Mr Livingstone.

He has been named as 68-year-old Stanley Livingstone, known as Boyd.

Police confirmed on Thursday the two men are brothers from Dounby in Orkney.

The boat used by the fishermen was found a short distance from Mr Livingstone's remains, and a Jeep used by the brothers was discovered near the Birsay loch.

Police inspector Alicen Winston said: "In the unlikely possibility that the missing man was able to leave the water it is asked that landowners and residents of properties in the area between Loch of Boardhouse and Dounby are vigilant and check any outbuildings."
