A motorcyclist killed in a collision with two cars in Aberdeen has been named.

Damian Piotrowski died following the crash on Great Northern Road at noon on Saturday.

The 27-year-old's Yamaha motorbike collided with a Vauxhall Adam and Volkswagen Caravelle.

Police Scotland's sergeant Malcolm Kinross said: "Our thoughts at this difficult time are with the family and friends of Damian Piotrowski.

"We continue to investigate the circumstances of this collision and we are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.

"In particular, we are keen to speak to passing motorists in a white Vauxhall Insignia and a dark-coloured Nissan Qashqai who may have witnessed the collision."
