A five-year-old girl who suffered life-threatening injuries in a fire in Aberdeen is out of danger.

Firefighters rescued a woman and three children from the blaze in Kincorth on Saturday.

The 39-year-old and the five-year-old both suffered serious injuries, while another five-year-old and a 12-year-old were treated for minor wounds.

The more seriously injured five-year-old remains at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in a stable condition, while the woman's condition is unknown.

Earlier this week, fire investigators concluded  the blaze on Deevale Road was not started on purpose.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "The five-year-old girl who was injured in a house fire in Kincorth on Saturday remains in hospital in a stable condition.

"She no longer has life-threatening injuries."
