Tributes have been paid to a football coach killed in a car crash on the A90.

Kieran Innes, 24, died after his vehicle left the road and overturned in a field near Forfar.

Police were alerted to the crash at 7.45am on Tuesday, but it is unclear when it happened.

Mr Innes, from Aberdeen, coached the Middlefield Wasps and was involved with disability football.

A minute's applause will take place during each game the team plays this weekend.

Team president Mark McCready said: "Kieran was a genuine nice guy and would do anything for anyone.

"He loved all his players who will miss him dearly. I had the honour of calling this man my mate.

"The wasps family has lost a true gent who will be sorely missed. He loved the Wasps. Thoughts go to the Innes family."
