Families living in a block of flats say their lives are being ruined by constant vibrations running through the building.

Aberdeen City Council has moved out most of the residents in the Marchburn Park development as a result of the tremors, the cause of which has not been identified.

Those who remain say the problem is severely impacting their health.

Sharon Munro moved into a brand new council flat in the development in 2013. The 43-year-old told STV News the vibrations have made her life unbearable.

"You wake up in the morning and instantly you feel sick," she said.

"Sometimes it's so bad that you are actually physically sick. You can't explain it. It's just this constant vibration that doesn't stop."

Ms Munro has had problems with sleeping and eating and has been signed off work for the past year because of the tremors.

Her concerns are echoed by other residents, who say the vibration gets worse when cars drive past or planes fly overhead.

Aberdeen City Council has rehoused four of the six families living in the multi-million pound building and has launched an investigation into the vibrations.
