Police cordoned off a street in Aberdeen city centre over concerns about an unattended bag.

Loch Street was closed at noon on Monday while officers used sniffer dogs to examine the bag.

They determined it was not dangerous and the cordon was lifted shortly before 1pm.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A cordon was erected for a short while just after 12pm following reports of an unattended bag.

"Officers made an assessment and found it was not dangerous.

"They were supported by police dogs."
