A man charged after an attempted robbery by a person in an Iron Man mask will face no further court action.

Shaun Coutts from Aberdeen was released on bail after appearing in court in February and the Crown has now decided not to take any further action.

A member of staff at Roslin Stores on Urquhart Road in Aberdeen chased off a masked would-be robber in January.

A Crown spokeswoman said: "It is the duty of the Crown to keep cases under review, and following full and careful consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, including the admissible evidence currently available, the procurator fiscal decided that there should be no further proceedings at this time.

"The Crown reserves the right to re-raise proceedings."
