Two men are being hunted over a £10,000 raid on a Stagecoach bus depot.

They were seen near Aberdeen Bus Station shortly after midnight on Monday, around the same time thieves broke into a cash machine drivers use to deposit their takings.

They were later seen walking through the city centre in the direction of Crown Street. Both men are believed to have been wearing high-visibility jackets.

Detective inspector Allen Shaw said: "I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers if you would prefer to remain anonymous on 0800 555 111."

A spokeswoman for Stagecoach North Scotland added: "We are assisting officers with their inquiries into this matter.

"We would encourage anyone with any information to contact Police Scotland."
