A jury has viewed CCTV footage allegedly showing a woman with the man accused of her rape and murder.

Bala Chinda allegedly attacked Jessica McGraa at a flat on Union Terrace in February 2016.

He is accused of killing the 36-year-old by forcing her face into a pillow and asphyxiating her.

On Thursday, a jury at the High Court in Aberdeen was shown footage which appeared to show Ms McGraa walking near her flat with a man.

The man was later identified as Bala Chinda by Police Scotland detective constable Christine White.

Chinda, 26, is also alleged to have stolen a key and two mobile phones belonging to Ms McGraa and disposed of the phone he had used to contact her.

He is said to have committed this offence to destroy evidence in an attempt to defeat the ends of justice.

Chinda denies the offences. His trial is expected to last ten days.
