Firefighters are battling a major blaze at a farm in the north east of Scotland.

Crews responded to reports of a fire at Palace Farm near Banff in Aberdeenshire at 11.15am on Monday.

The fire broke out in a building on the farm and people have since been moved to a place of safety.

A Scottish Fire Service spokesperson said: "Around 60 crew members, nine fire engines and some support units have been mobilised to Palace Farm where the incident is ongoing.

"There are no injuries and we are working to make the area safe.

"We were made aware there are gas cylinders in the buildings which is our main concern at the moment."
