Police are appealing for information after rival football fans clashed in Moray at the weekend.

Mobile phone footage shows Elgin City fans brawling with Inverness Caledonian Thistle supporters after their two teams met in the Scottish Cup on Saturday.

The video shows two sets of supporters exchanging blows at the entrance to an underpass in the Moray town.

The fight erupted after Caley Thistle came from a goal down to win 2-1 at Borough Briggs stadium in the fourth round of the competition.

Police Scotland said no arrests were made during the game, which saw around 4000 fans attend.

Officers are now asking for any witnesses or anyone who has mobile phone footage to come forward.

Divisional commander for Moray, chief inspector Stewart Mackie, said: "We have been made aware of the videos circulating on social media from after the game and would encourage anyone with information to contact police as soon as possible on 101."
