A haul of cocaine and cannabis worth £47,000 has been seized by police in Aberdeenshire.

The drugs were recovered by officers in Stonehaven on Saturday, along with more than £1000 in cash.

A 50-year-old woman and two men aged 23 and 32 have been charged and will appear in court on Monday.

Chief inspector Murray Main said: "Illegal drugs can have such a devastating impact on individuals, families and communities.

"Through Operation Aspen, we have seen a significant amount of controlled drugs removed from the streets of Aberdeenshire and across the north east.

"Anyone with concerns in their neighbourhood can contact police on 101."
