Police and firefighters have closed a street in Aberdeen after a fire broke out at derelict factory building.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Broadford Works on Hutcheon Street at around 10.30am on Thursday and found a pile of debris in flames between two buildings.

Police were also in attendance and closed the road at Maberly Street between George Street and Skene Square to allow the fire service access.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service North division confirmed the fire has since been extinguished and said they are still on the scene damping down.
