A pedestrian has been knocked down by a bus in Aberdeen city centre.

The man was struck by the vehicle on Holburn Street, near the Holburn Bar, at 8.45am on Monday.

The pedestrian, who is in his 40s, has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and Holburn Street had reopened by 9.15am.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "The incident happened on Holburn Street at 8.45am.

"It involved a male pedestrian in his 40s, who has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary."
