A 15-year-old boy has been charged with assault and attempted robbery in Dundee.

The incident took place at the Premier Stores shop on Campfield Square in Broughty Ferry on Monday, February 13.

Police Scotland confirmed the teenager has been charged and a referred to the Youth Justice Assessor.

A spokesman said: "We can confirm that a 15-year-old boy has been charged in connection with an assault with intent to rob at Premier Stores in Campfield Square, Broughty Ferry, Dundee, which happened at 9.45pm on Monday, February 13.

"A report has been submitted to the Youth Justice Assessor for consideration."
