A fatal accident inquiry will not be held after the deaths of a mother and son at Aberdeen beach.

Julie Walker, 37, and her son Lucas, six, drowned on August 20, 2016.

Lucas was in trouble in the water and Ms Walker went in to try and save him.

Despite the efforts of members of the public and emergency services, they were unable to be saved.

Lucas' 13-year-old brother, Samuel, was part of the rescue efforts.
