A man spat in the face of a Spanish passer-by in a "disgusting" racist attack near a Tesco Express.

The incident happened at a bus stop near Marco Polo and Tesco Express on Hawkhill in Dundee, at 7.10pm on Saturday.

A Spanish man was walking past the bus stop when another man, who was with two other people, spat at him.

The man, who also shouted racist abuse in the unprovoked attack, is described as being in his early 20s and about 5ft 9in.

He is of a medium build with short brown hair and was wearing a red top.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Not only were his actions particularly disgusting, but he then subjected the victim to verbal racist abuse."
