'Drink-driver' caught in wheat field after police chase
A man failed to stop before a high-speed chase on the A90 near Stonehaven.
An alleged drink-driver has been charged over a high-speed police chase that resulted in him being caught in a wheat field.
The incident happened on the A90 near Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire on Monday.
A 23-year-old man allegedly failed to stop before a high-speed chase occurred involving the police.
He then abandoned the car before running away into a wheat field near the busy dual carriageway.
Officers were too quick for the man and arrested him for allegedly drink-driving.
The man is expected to appear in court at a later date.
