An alleged car thief had his vehicle stolen while refuelling at a Tesco petrol station.

The 38-year-old man reportedly stole the black Ford Focus ST from a premises in Dundee on Monday.

Just hours after the alleged theft, the car was then said to have been stolen for a second time while the man was filling it with fuel at Tesco's Riverside store at 3.30pm.

Police Scotland confirmed two men have been charged over the incidents.

A spokesman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that two people have been arrested and charged in connection with a theft of a car from the petrol filling station at Riverside Drive, Dundee."
