Taxi driver charged after 'hitting student on pavement'
Graduate was taken to hospital after incident in Nethergate, Dundee, on Thursday.
A taxi driver has been charged after his vehicle mounted a pavement and allegedly struck a student.
The incident happened shortly after 6pm in Nethergate, Dundee, on Thursday.
A Dundee University student, understood to have been celebrating his graduation, was taken to hospital with minor injuries following the crash.
Five police cars and two ambulances attended the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We can confirm that a 25-year-old man has been charged with careless driving after a road traffic incident which happened in the Nethergate.
"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
The incident was not terrorism-related.
