A man was trapped after a crash involving a caravan.

The collision, involving two cars, happened on the B979 between Stonehaven and Peterculter in Aberdeenshire on Saturday.

A car overturned while a caravan being towed by the vehicle was also on its side.

Fire crews had to cut a man free from the overturned car after the crash, which happened at 11am.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "The road was still open because both vehicles were on the verge.

"Nobody is thought to have been seriously injured."
