A man has been charged with attacking another man with an axe and mowing him down with a car in Aberdeen.

An attempted murder investigation was launched after the 30-year-old was assaulted before a car was driven at him on Sinclair Road.

A man, 64, has been charged in connection with the incident, which happened earlier this month.

He is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday.
