Drugs with an estimated street value of almost £27,000 have been recovered in a house raid.

Officers, acting on local intelligence, targeted the property on Maree Terrace in Ellon, Aberdeenshire on Thursday.

Cocaine, cannabis and cannabis resin were seized as well as almost £300 in cash.

Two men, aged 23 and 34, have been charged in connection with alleged drug offences and are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.

Detective Sergeant Bruce Buntain urged the public to help the force target dealers.

He said: "We will continue to target the supply of illegal drugs in our communities and will deploy specialist resources across the area in order to do so.

"Information from the public is crucial to our success in taking illegal drugs off the streets.

"If you see suspicious activity such as numerous vehicles or people visiting addresses I'd urge you to report it to police so we can make enquiries."

Anyone with information about illegal drugs is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
