Two brothers held down and raped a teenager they met through a dating website.

Alexander Stewart, 20, and Christopher Drummond, 23, repeatedly attacked the 19-year-old woman at a house in Invergordon High Street, Ross-shire, on October 18 last year.

Drummond, described as a prisoner, was jailed for seven years and Stewart, from Ross-shire, for four and a half years at the High Court in Edinburgh on Friday.

Both men had denied assaulting and raping the woman during an earlier trial.

The court heard Drummond ordered Stewart to hold the woman down and issued further demands during a series of sexual assaults.

Judge Lady Carmichael ordered Stewart should be put under supervision for 18 months after his release and placed both bothers on the sex offenders register indefinitely.

Defence counsel David Moggach said Drummond still insisted the incident had been consensual.

Stewart's defence lawyer Lorenzo Alonzi said his client had been diagnosed with ADHD, and said: "He is someone who is highly susceptible to suggestion and easily led and manipulated.

"There has been a progressive acceptance by him of his guilt."
