There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Aberdeenshire, police have said.

The 24-year-old died at a house on Castle Road in Cruden Bay on Sunday.

Officers, who were alerted just after 5pm, initially treated the death as unexplained.

In an update issued on Monday, Police Scotland said: "Following enquiries there appears to be no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal in due course, as is the case with all sudden deaths."
