Dog dies after falling from cliff near Slain's Castle
The RNLI Peterhead lifeboat was scrambled and retrieved the canine but it did not survive.
A dog which fell from a cliff near Slain's Castle in Aberdeenshire has died.
The RNLI Peterhead lifeboat was scrambled and arrived at around 1.20pm on Sunday.
It dispatched a smaller vessel which sailed into a cove at the foot of the cliff and retrieved the dog.
They then returned to Peterhead with the canine aboard and returned to shore at 2.10pm.
But HM Coastguard later confirmed the dog had died from its injuries.
