More than £9000 of items, including three passports, were stolen from a home over New Year.

Laptops and jewellery were also taken from the property on Thomson Street, Dundee, between 6.15pm on Hogmanay and 9.30pm on New Year's Day.

The haul included three laptops, a set of Bose headphones, 30 rings, three passports, a bicycle and an assortment of smaller electrical items.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Some of these items are quite unusual and would arouse suspicion if offered for sale.

"Also, while most of the items stolen are small, given the amount of items taken there is a possibility that persons may have been seen in the Perth Road or Magdalen Yard areas carrying or transporting them."
