A Stagecoach bus has gone up in flames, closing a stretch of the A90.

Emergency services were called to the road near Stirling Village in Aberdeenshire at 6.45pm on Thursday.

The driver was the only person on the bus at the time.

The road was blocked for almost four hours, causing major delays.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "The fire happened two or three miles south of Stirling Village.

"The driver was the only person on board.

"The road was cleared by 10.30pm."
