Man seriously injured after car plunges into harbour
He was found lying on the quayside at Wick Harbour by members of the public.
A man has been seriously injured after a car plunged into a harbour.
Emergency services were called to Wick Harbour after the man was found lying on the quayside.
He has been taken to Caithness General Hospital in a serious condition following the incident at 10.20am on Thursday.
Officers cordoned off the harbour while water searches were carried out.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "A man was rescued from the water and taken to Caithness General Hospital for treatment.
"He is currently described as being in a serious condition.
"The public is thanked for their understanding while emergency services responded to the incident."
