A 4x4 mounted a pavement, almost hitting pedestrians.

The incident happened on Invercauld Road in Mastrick, Aberdeen, at 5.30pm on Thursday.

Officers said the silver vehicle, thought to be a BMW or Jeep, mounted the pavement close to a group of youths, almost hitting one.

The driver is thin, between 30 and 40 and has brown hair.

Constable James Whittall said: "This incident occurred when Invercauld Road was busy with pedestrians and motorists and we are keen to trace the driver of the vehicle.

"I am appealing to anyone that may have witnessed this incident or seen a similar vehicle in the area to get in touch with the police.

"Also similarly, if the driver recognises themselves from this appeal I would ask that they get in touch with us."
