A child's pram was deliberately set on fire in a Dundee close.

People living nearby managed to drag the pushchair away but it caused serious damage.

Police believe it was set ablaze intentionally near Lidl on Dura Street between 6.30pm and 7.10pm on Sunday.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Not only is it particularly low to destroy a child's pushchair, but the potential danger posed to the residents of the close by this astonishingly reckless act was near unthinkable.

"If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please call 101 or speak with any police officer."
