A man has been injured after being struck by a car in a town centre.

The incident happened on the High Street in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, at 7.25am on Tuesday.

The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Officers closed the road between the Town Hall roundabout and Keith Hall Road for more than an hour following the incident.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We dispatched two ambulances to the scene."
