An art installation featuring a fox and a rabbit carved into a tree stump has been stolen.

The work was taken from Kinnoull Hill, near Perth, between December 1 and January 15.

Police said it would have required "considerable time and effort" to remove the stump from the ground.

In a statement, Police Scotland added: "The carving is quite distinctive, and if it is on display somewhere or has been offered for sale, it should be recognisable."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 using the reference CR/4385/18.
